Katherine Knight is an Australian woman who committed a gruesome murder in 2000. She killed her partner, John Price, by stabbing him dozens of times with a butcher's knife. She then skinned him and hung his skin from a meat hook in their lounge room, cooked parts of his body and left other parts of him scattered around the house.
The crime scene was incredibly disturbing and traumatic for the police officers who first responded. They found Price's decapitated head boiling in a pot on the stove and his entrails were strewn throughout the house.
Knight was arrested and charged with murder. At her trial, she pleaded not guilty and claimed that she had no memory of committing the murder. However, the evidence against her was overwhelming, and she was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The case has become infamous in Australia and around the world, and the horrific details of the murder and the crime scene have caused widespread shock and revulsion.
